Yorusoi is like a bad penny-- always come back to it XD
So this place has been pretty quiet of late and I haven't posted anything here in a long time and I was bizarrely compelled to do something with my old OTP that I drew some pics of the sexytimes variety~

Quality kinda sucks since I don't have a scanner and am using an awkwardly-placed webcam (LOL ghetto-scanner) but hope you enjoy ;)

cut for NSFW-ness with the last two ♥ )

  • 18:38 @babynuko Sounds a lot like me! #
  • 22:34 @DarkstarIV I *just* ranted about that on the forums. #

Dear self,

In the future, always remember: What would David Bowie do? And if that doesn't convince you, then ask yourself what Debbie Harry would do.

Yours,
Me

Yum!
Slowly but surely getting better. The walk to the laundromat still tired me out, but that could have also been the 25 pounds of clothing and linens I was carrying. Thank god for wash and fold services. I would have fallen asleep on top of one of the washers if I had to sit there and do my own washing today. This is why I always budget for the "just in case" things in life.

But, I did make applesauce today, which was great. Just put some cut up apples in the slow cooker with a bit of water, bit of sugar, cinnamon, and a bit of nutmeg. Let it cook all day and you end up with yummy goodness. Good way to use up the too many apples I had (I get free produce with any order I place at Fresh Direct and, since it's fall/winter, they keep sending me apples).

Definitely going back into the office tomorrow. Even if I'm tired and walking as far as the subway takes a lot out of me, I really need to get out for at least a few hours. This staying at home for almost a week thing is really sucky.

Dear body,

I went to bed around 10:30pm for you. So you would feel well rested. WTF is up with suddenly waking up for an hour in the middle of the night and then having trouble sleeping for a while after?

At least tomorrow there's no need to get up at 7am, so co-operate with the "replenish energy stores with lots of sleep" plan this time, okay?

Love,

Me

[info]bkdbear1991's first boy-love experience. <3 I'm really happy for this development! I think Bear is too shy, he should have held the poor guy in his arms. Gotta take the initiative to get what you want na no desu. (Well, don't follow Rikka's love advice seriously, you know how well my experience went, lol.)

I'm kind of jealous though... you got to share a bed with the guy nearly naked on you and I never even got to hold hands with the guy I like... I hate you for your progress Bear! T__T

After like five days of literally not even leaving my building, a steady diet of raisin Cinnamon swirl bread and Ginger Ale and a marathon of every Airplane, Top Gun and Leslie Nielsen movie ever made topped with the sweet dulcet sounds of King Sylas calling everyone and everything a Cocksucker in Deadwood, I am done.

Finished.

Free. Free. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

But!

Before heading into SVA I'm taking a field trip to Savannah, likely next week. The issue I'm facing here is that while SVA is better located (New York, Internships,) SCAD's program is better. I can't even argue price since it's literally a 1k difference. Craaap.

But that's coming later. Now while I wait for my Portfolio to be converted into a CD (This whole policy of 'Portfolios Must be in Digital Format!' is so frakin' gay,) I am free. Freeeeeeeeeee.

And after five days of nothing but bread and ginger ale, I need food.

...But it's so. Far. Away. And I'm just. Enjoying. Internet again.

Also whatthejesus Cardinal Wolsey from Tudors is Grant from Jurassic motherfucking Park.

What.

Yes. It's also come to my attention that in my need for background noise while artsing (an ironic reversal to how I cannot write with sound anywhere) I have ran the fuck out of Costume Dramas. Like. All of them. I have seen them. I have seen every major costume drama in english. By order of awesome: Rome, Deadwood, Tudors and Carnivale. Done. Seen them all. Merlin, Legend of the Seeker and Robin Hood I didn't like. John Adams was pretty meh, but I'm not big on the Revolutionary/Civil War types either. So what the fuck, now what do I watch for my historical fix? All I need's High Production Values, no Xena or Hercules.

Unbelievable!
Uwaa.

I think I might really love my job! I enjoy working. If I could have a job like this when I graduate, I'd be all set for life! (Unless the pay was crappy, uwaa.)

If you're wondering what put me in this mood, I just finished Part 1 of the 2 things I have to do for tomorrow's presentation... about my job, lol. I HATE writing essays, but it's a little easier this time around since I don't have to prove what I know - I just have to talk about my job, nihaha.

Thank you to both [info]samatethecookie and [info]zia_narratora for the virtual cookies. ♥

I went shopping today with [info]cutegoth. Originally I wanted winter boots, but uh. Somehow that managed to be the one thing I did not get during our shopping trip.

I hope you managed to have a decent birthday, [info]sephirajo. *hugs* Hang in there.

My pain issues are being weird and have decided to mostly cluster around the sternum and where the ribs connect to it. Moreso on the left side. (Yes, I did get a doctor to check that there was nothing wrong with my heart because wow, waking up with horrible chest pain is a bad start to a morning - this was yesterday morning. Blech).

All in all, today was much better than yesterday, and I'm looking forward to the day that I've had all my paperwork sent off to grad programs. I have everything except the letter of intent and the curriculum vitae. Gotta finish those tomorrow night or Thursday night so I can get everything mailed out in time. At least in the case of York University I can hand deliver it. Technically I could hand deliver it to all of the others too, since not one of them is more than a 2 hour drive. But it would be a bit silly for Guelph and McMaster.

Famitsu :|
Final Fantasy V has the lowest Famitsu score out of the entire main numbered series? I don't think Famitsu's scores are THE authority in game reviews, but that makes me really sad for some reason. A 34/40. No wonder it reminds me so much of a Tales game! *rimshot*

Anyway, FFXIII got a 39/40. But considering that they rated XII with a 40/40 when the game was so blatantly incomplete, I take their scores with quite a few grams of salt :\ Vagrant Story, as cool as it was, didn't deserve a perfect score, either. That game had a lot of unfinished concepts that were only implemented halfway-ish in the game.

Started playing Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. So far my impression of it is a more tedious KH1. The card thing gets annoying considering that my attacks are frickin' cards. Bleh. The whole Card Break thing is annoying, too.

This is one of those games that I want to be finished with quickly. Hopefully it won't take too long. And holy crap, KH!Aerith is fucking creepy. I just thought I'd mention that.

Ugh, tired. Did a ton of grocery shopping and now I just want to pass out. It's only Tuesday and I've already missed quite a few hours of sleep. I hate hate HATE rigid sleeping schedules. Especially EARLY ones. Will I really have to do this for the rest of my life...? I don't even want to think about it.

Sometimes I get the urgent desire to do a podcast.

Three of my instructors had office hours today, and I went to see them all... but only one of them was actually there. Lame! But me and him talked for about an hour, which almost makes up for the others.

I can either write a paper on Electra or do a re-telling of Electra to argue a point. I'm indecisive. It's been a long time since I've written anything even relatively creative so it would be uncomfortable, but doing something that isn't an essay could be a nice change.

Thank you, [info]sakurazukalori and [info]lilhowlet for the snowflake cookie virtual gifts! I keep seeing them everywhere, is LJ running some sort of drive?

Writing
I found this on the first page of my first notebook from the term. It is for How Am I Not Myself?

--

Once upon a time, it rained and I walked out, face to the sky and eyes wet. Rain transforms the world. Sidewalks become obstacles, dirt becomes mud, colours darken and shift. Everything is weighed down and waterlogged, my clothes included. I blame the water in my shoes for the heaviness of my step.

Under these tall trees, sinister with their leaky roof, cold drops surprise the back of my neck and trap me in the echoes of their fall. I feel like I am somewhere else entirely, but I couldn't tell you where. Maybe I'm just really here but really here in more than the one sense. It's me and some other me walking together, in the same but not the same places.

Look how she runs ahead, her hair damp and curling as her shoes splash mud from the puddles. I wonder where she's going. Why is she here tonight, so sympathetic but so unconcerned?
